That is pretty normal as many people do have businesses and investments in other countries which doesn't affect anything except the eligibility over claiming public funds (if someone has recourse to public funds entitlement).

I think @seagul's interpretation is quite narrow.

Note that the OP had mentioned that she is applying for FLR(FP). The FLR(FP) application cover a lot of different scenarios, including ones where the applicant is arguing that it is unreasonable for them to return to their home country or that they will have difficulty integrating with life in their home country. Having a business in the home country undermines that argument.

As regards its impact on the OP, I would say that it is unknown. While FLR(FP) as the parent of a British child does not currently have any assertations of difficulty or unreasonableness returning home, that is only the case at the moment and one does not know what the future holds or how future governments and caseworkers will interpret this route.

A small scaled overseas business with no trading activities with UK will hardly ever be known and the same won't even be asked on visa application form. Few visas under flrfp route are determined and rationalised based on insurmountable obstacles in moving back home. A small scale business which can even be run online will certainly look extremely trivial comparing to hefty obstacles such as a British child is attending school in UK or getting medical treatment and don't know the foreign native language.

it's a partnership the business i am planning to go into, its an agriculture business and its main focus is to create a platform for those without skills to learn how to get into the agriculture business and also to help create employment, while also being an avenue for people who have challenges to learn how to be focused and productive,so its not profit oriented and i have no plans to spend any money made from it in the uk or have it transferred to my account in the UK, the business is being done with an NGO whose aim is to empower women
