How Ukrainian grades are converted into the UK GCSE?

Hello All!

I'm looking to apply for a course and they ask for certain GCSE requirements.

I finished school back in Ukraine. Back there, we had a 5 grade system. So the best was 5 and the worst (although not possible I guess) was 1.

Is there anyone on this forum who had their Ukrainian (or Russian I guess) school certificate converted by NARIC, and, if so, could you please advise how they converted 3s, 4s, and 5s into the UK GCSE grades (i.e. 9 grade system)?
