Is Visa Processing On Hold?

Post by JPDWirral » Wed May 27, 2020 1:56 am

We applied in Auckland NZ for my Wife’s entry visa. 8 days later the Auckland office of VHS Global closed. I believe that all our data is in the system (we uploaded all dosc ourselves and biometrics were done at the VHS Office on the day).

We paid for premium processing. This 6 week window has now expired. I emailed and was told it was currently under consideration (stock answer).

Obviously a delay is likely under the current circumstances, I expect that, but I am specifically trying to find out if these types of visa are being worked on currently or everything ‘on ice’ currently?

Miraculously in Newzealand the fatality rate was incredibly low perhaps due to their proactive approach of locking down well in advance in contrast to other countries including UK where everything/system got disrupted. So at the moment UKVI is mainly focusing on in country applications especially relating to vulnerables or those who are already in queque from long time.
