Visitor Visa but now pregnant

Post by prharry » Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:18 pm

Hi all,

I've been reading these boards for a while as I am using all the helpful topics to apply for a Spouse visa for my partner once we are able to apply for a marriage. I am British and have lived here all my life.

My partner is Brazilian on a visitor visa for 6 months which has been extended until 31 July. We plan to marry and apply for a spouse visa once we are able to, knowing that we are able to do so from the UK during the current covid crisis.

Things have changed and we are delighted to find out that she is now 10 weeks pregnant after getting an ultrasound test done (we paid for this service as no visa application is submitted yet).

My question is and I will probably answer it myself but. Is the spouse visa still the best way to get my partner a visa? I assume that any other route would be null and void due to the length of time until the baby is born.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions would be much appreciated

It won't be automatically extended because flights to Brazil - Sao Paulo via Frankfurt & Amsterdam are perfectly working. UKVI staff will definitely be aware too.
