Naturalisation application query

Post by Nature11 » Sat May 30, 2020 5:08 pm

Hi Gurus,

I was filling my online application and need some clarification on the below points:
  • Convictions and other penalties -- I have 3 speeding points on DL but the penalty was paid straightway and I have accepted 3 points, so shall I say no to this question ?
  • Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad? -- I was on Tier 1 visa and it was granted in UK and before that I was on PSW and Student. so shall I say no on this question?
  • Employment details -- Where can I find last 10 years employment history exact dates? I was trying to request to HMRC but at the moment they are closed.
  • Tax Office Reference Number -- Where can I find Tax office reference no ? I can't see anything on my payslip
  • Status -- my wife she is in abroad from last 1.5 year and we are no longer in relation but divorce file is not yet submitted . shall I mention separated in the application form??
Please advise at your earliest.

Thanks in Advance!

Yes mention this but it will not impact your application.
  • Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad? -- I was on Tier 1 visa and it was granted in UK and before that I was on PSW and Student. so shall I say no on this question?
Why would you say no here? It's yes - any (ALL) previous applications to be listed.
  • Employment details -- Where can I find last 10 years employment history exact dates? I was trying to request to HMRC but at the moment they are closed.
Do you not have any previous employment documents? Give as much detail as you have - dates may be approximate month/year. HMRC generally has about five years data on their systems.
  • Tax Office Reference Number -- Where can I find Tax office reference no ? I can't see anything on my payslip
Do you have your P60s - it is normally quoted on them.
  • Status -- my wife she is in abroad from last 1.5 year and we are no longer in relation but divorce file is not yet submitted . shall I mention separated in the application form??
Select "married" as you still are legally, unless you are "legally separated" which would have involved some kind of court proceeding.

Please advise at your earliest.

Thanks in Advance!

Usually not in payslip.

You need to contact your HR department to get it.

Hi,

Need clarification related to referees:
shall give one of my university mate and 2nd one my Accountant ? I have heard from somewhere that home office not accepting Accountant reference now.

End of the application form there is document list which I need to provide them:
    • Proof of Freedom from Immigration time restriction
do I need to provide them BRP for this?

    Thank you in Advance.

If the accountant is professionally qualified (ICA/ACCA/CIMA) then you can use him as your prof. referee, was always the case.
Your BRP is proof of "freedom from immigration restrictions" - include it with your documents.

    Please advise at your earliest.
    Thank you in advance.

There is no requirement that the person must be a professional in a wok environment. You can use a friend who is a professional on the list.

    Hi CR001,

    Thank you for clarification.

I will use the reference as per the professional list and mention relation " friend'

One more question : does the 2nd reference would be from the professional list as well? or it can be anyone who is British ?

    Thank you

One referee must be a professional and can be any nationality.

The second referee must be British and over 25.

    Hello,

I did submit my application , just need few clarification:
    • After Submission , its says you need to ask both referee to sign form with picture. I was in the impression that they will contact through emails as I have mentioned in the application
    • if I need to ask referee to sign than do I need to scan and upload on the UKVCAS website?
    • Related to upload the checklist , on UKVCAS website can't see exact document name option to attach, shall attach documents in Other ??
    Many Thanks

Referees for Naturalisation are NOT contacted by email to verify things. You are confusing this with the passport application process. For naturalisation, you referees need to sign the form with your photo on and your name and dob must be written on the back of the photos.
    • if I need to ask referee to sign than do I need to scan and upload on the UKVCAS website?
Yes, they sign, send back to you, then you upload to UKCVAS with all your other supporting documents.
    • Related to upload the checklist , on UKVCAS website can't see exact document name option to attach, shall attach documents in Other ??
You need minimal documents. We don't all have access to the online system to see the checklist. Don't attach unnecessary documents.

I was about to upload the documents on UKVCAS website and in guidance its says:
To help contain the files size to 6MB please scan in ‘Greyscale’ or ‘Black and white’ and not in ‘Colour’. It is also helpful to keep the resolution between 150 dpi (dots per inch) to 300 dpi. This can be achieved by configuring your device by the available ‘Settings’ option, that allows you to choose the file format, colour and the dpi resolution. With this approach, you will be able to scan up to 50 pages per document within the allowed 6 MB limit.

I have scanned all in colour including passport and referee forms and my each files is under 6MB. shall I upload in colour or shall I scan everything in grey and upload it?

    Many Thanks

    Hi CR001,

I did submit my application in June 2020 and I have realised that in the checklist of the document
    - Proof of living in the UK for Mr XYZ for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if applying as
the spouse of a British Citizen

as I am non EEA Nation -- I have uploaded only my passport front and back picture and ILR card only . do I need to upload the entry stamp as well to prove that I have lived in country for 5 years ?? As I did submit my paperwork last month so I won't be able to upload it now. Please advise...

    Thank you in Advance
