Furlough & Tier 2 dependant ILR

Post by kaps84 » Fri Jun 05, 2020 2:20 pm

Hi Gurus,

I (ILR holder via Tier 2 route) am planning to put myself on furlough in my limited company (I am the director and owner of my limited company now) due to loss of business. I am no longer working with my Tier 2 sponsor.

Will there be any impact of this on my Tier 2 dependant’s ILR (already applied and is with HO now) ? I am asking this because on the ILR application they asked for my name (& Tier 2 sponsor details) as well and if anybody on the application is taking any benefits.

Kindly advise. Kaps84

I think there would be no impact on tier 2 dependant because after obtaining ILR, you are free to work anywhere and your tier 2 dependant depends on you instead your employer.
