Yes, children under 18 are not naturalised, only adults are. Children are REGISTERED as British.Do I apply for naturalisation or MN1?
This isn't relevant to a child MN1 application. It referee to adult naturalisation.Second question:
on the naturalisation application, there is following question;
If you are the husband, wife, or civil partner of a British citizen, you must have been in the UK for the last 3 years. If you are not the husband, wife, or civil partner of a British citizen, you must have been in the UK for the last 5 years. This is called your ‘qualifying period’.
You must have been in the UK on the first day of your 3-year or 5-year qualifying period
You must not have spent more than 270 days outside the UK during a 3-year qualifying period, or 450 days during a 5-year qualifying period
You must not have been outside the UK for more than 90 days in the last 12 months
You must not have been here illegally in the 3-year or 5-year qualifying period
Children don't have a minimum residnece requirment for citizenship.Do you meet these residence requirements?
He can apply if one parent is British (ie already attended ceremony) and the other holds ilr.Can he apply for naturalisation now? or does he need to wait until 18th July 2020 ( 1 year after receiving ILR)? or does he need to wait until 15th Oct 2020 ( 5 years from the 1st date of arrival)?

Thanks for replying.
Yes, I currently hold British Passport and his mother got ILR.
He is applying alone to MN1.
What should I select for the below question?
You were born outside the UK
- Your parent is British by descent and lived in the UK or a British Overseas territory for at least 3 years before you were born
- Your parent is British by descent and you and your parents (unless they are legally separated) are now living in the UK or a British Overseas territory
- You were born on or after 13 January 2010 and your parent was serving in the UK armed forces
- You were adopted abroad by British citizen parents
- You were born before 1 July 2006 to a British father and your parents were not married
- One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship
- Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary
Did I not highlight above in my previous response in big red text which one it is and star clearly it is the last one??harishpraveen wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 12:15 amHi,
