Employer charged "Sponsor Cost" to final pay

Post by MM24 » Wed Jun 17, 2020 12:15 am

I left my employer in Jan 2020 after being sponsored as t2 general from April 2019 (technically as of October I wasn't t2 anymore as I had recieved an eu spousal visa) . On my final payslip I saw a charge for sponsor cost of £500.

Can the sponsor pass on any of the cost to me for getting a sponsor license or immigration surcharge?

I had worked for them before they sponsored me on a t5 youth mobility visa.

This isn't an immigration related query. I would suggest you check what your employment contract says. If there is such a clause, then yes they can charge you.
