Applying for under 18 child as a step mother

Can someone help with following query?
I am applying for my kid's ILR who is under 18. I got affidavit from my ex wife from Pakistan and i have full custody of my kid in UK.
Is my current wife my kid's "Guardian" and will not be treated as parent in the application?
In affidavit, my ex wife only mentions that she is giving full custody to me and there is no mention of my current wife? Is that going to be an issue?

Apart from consent form with the application, do myself and my wife need to write another letter and say that we are look after our kid or is the consent form enough?
