British passport for baby

Post by 112mimran » Wed Jul 08, 2020 10:49 am

Hello eveyone,

I am thinking of applying first passport for my baby. I am a bit confuse if I can apply her British passport or do I have to register her as BC first?

I got ILR in Feb 2020 and the baby was born in March 2020. My wife is still on dependent visa of my previous leave which was Tier1 Enter (I got ILR on the basis of 10years in Feb 2020).

The baby is UK born after I got the ILR. I was a bit not sure If I can apply her British passport rater than applying her for BC first.

Please suggest and what parents documents do I have to send in support to apply for the baby's first passport.

Thanks

Apply for passport directly. You need to submit evidence (BRP) that you had ILR at the time of the child's birth.
