free extension for tier 2 dependent NHS doctors

Post by Aleemragab » Wed Jul 15, 2020 8:13 pm

Hi all,
I am NHS doctors on ILR through Tier2 route. My wife is on PBS tier2 dependent visa and needs 4 more years to apply for ILR.Her current visa ends at beginning of September this year.
I have 4 questions:
Does she benefit, as dependent, from the free one year extension of visa for NHS doctor?

Do we need to pay IHS for her?

Are we short of time due to COVID situation and how to manage if there is any problems?

I received a new BRP today from HR in my hospital which is a tier 2 visa (general) valid for 2 months although I didn't apply for any! Would that affect my ILR or cancel it?
Kind regards

A new tier 2 should NOT have been applied to you as you hold ilr. The grant of another visa could cancel your ilr.

Who requested the tier 2 for 2 months for you??

Did you inform your sponsor that you had obtained ILR and updated your brp so that they remove you as a sponsored migrant?

It is your responsibility to update your employer and provide evidence of your right to work every time you get a new brp, especially ILR as your sponsor is required to update the SMS that you are no longer a sponsored migrant.

I hope for your sake you ilr has not been invalidated now. You cannot hold two immigration statuses at the same time. I suggest you try contact ukvi to determine this or apply for a subject access request.
