ILR under Long residence - no previous passports.

Post by Eshanoderuth » Fri Jul 24, 2020 2:13 pm

Hi there, I was wondering If I can seek any advice regarding my situation above.

I have been living in the UK continuously since 2009 and I am applying for ILR under long residence this year. My issue is that my old passport from 2012-2017 was returned the my government when I renewed it. How do I provide evidence of my continuous residence/ absences from the UK? I have applied for SAR and awaiting response. Anyone have any experience or advice regarding this? Greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Visa curtailment affecting ILR (long residence)

Post by Eshanoderuth » Fri Jul 24, 2020 2:19 pm

Hi there, I have been residing in the UK since 2009. Whilst I was a student, my tier 4 visa was curtailed in March 2014 as I was not an active student. I left well within the 60 day period and reapplied for a new visa in May 2014. I entered the UK in June 2014 with a new Tier 4 visa to complete my visa.

Does the curtailment above affect my eligibility to apply for ILR under long residence?

Greatly appreciate any advice.

Thank you

Check if you have the scanned pages of the said old passport somewhere. That will suffice since no hard copy document posted to HO again.
