Tier 2 general Visa switch - Two visas at same time

Hi,

I am on a Tier 2 General visa and switching to a different employer with New visa application. May I know if my existing employer has to cancel the current Visa (Valid for one more year) before the decision on my New Visa application ?

Or I can receive the new Visa and based on my resignation email/Notice period my current employer will cancel the current Visa automatically ?

Does HO reject the application if they find out that I am already on a Tier 2 General Visa ?

Your current sponsor will report to HO within 10 days from when you have left them. you can make a new application with new sponsor details and CoS before 3 months of starting you new job. with current Covid guidance you can start working once you submit an application.

Only UKVI can cancel a visa, not your employer. Your employer only has to inform UKVI within 10 days AFTER your last date of employment via SMS that you have left.

No. Visas are only refused when you don't meet the requirements. HO obviously know your full immigration history so why on earth would they simply refuse your visa "if the find out"!!
