Tier 4 Dependent Switch Covid-19

Post by dinesh15787 » Mon Apr 20, 2020 8:41 am

Hi All,
I am currently on Tier 2 ICT living in UK with family. My spouse has got offer in a university to switch to Tier 4 General. Due to covid travel restriction, HO announced that Students can start studying with CAS issued and apply for visa once the situation is uplifted.

Can anyone please tell me if I will be able to work here with tier 4 dependent during this covid 19 situation instead of current tier 2 ICT?

Thanks,
Dinesh

Where are you reading that? The Home Office guidance for applicants says that as normal they must apply before they start studying, not wait until the outbreak is over. See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... -residents

You can only work on your current visa conditions, until such time as you have a different visa with different conditions.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

Tier 4 switch within UK

Post by dinesh15787 » Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:50 am

Hi All,

My spouse is on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa expiring in April 2021. She has got a offer from a university for May intake. Is it possible to apply for tier 4 general visa within UK as there is travel restriction to home country at the moment.

Thanks,
Dinesh

Within UK Visa Application : Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 4 General including Dependents

Post by dinesh15787 » Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:14 pm

Hi All,

I am regularly checking the Covid Home office page, i can see the relaxation to apply for Visa switch within country is still in place (as of 07/08/2020). This might get changed in near feature if travel restrictions are uplifted. I have got CAS for September Intake and my current dependent visa is expiring in April 2021. As my case falls under the relaxation rule, i believe i can apply within UK. But before proceeding , i would like to know if any member in this forum is in similar situation and managed to book appointment within UK (for switch to Tier 4 general). Also please let me know if any one made a successful application for Tier 4 general switch + Dependents within UK during July and current month whose expiry is after 31st August 2020.

Additonally, i want to know if in case we made the application and decision is pending, as a main applicant i can continue studies here with my current visa until decision is made. But would this situation gives my spouse right to work as Tier 4 General Dependent?

Thanks,
Dinesh
