ILR Query - new job joining just a few weeks before ILR eligibility

Hi,

I'm eligible to apply for ILR on 7th Dec, 2020.

I am lloking to shift to a new job/sponser.

I want to know latest by when should i join the new job to be eligible to apply for ILR on 7th Dec.

For example, if I join my new job on 1st December, can i apply for ILR on 7th Dec,2020.

Can i give less than a month's payslip as part of ILR application?

You need a minimum of one month's payslip and corresponding bank statement showing your NEW employment salary that's meets the ilr/SOC requirements.

You need an absence letter from all previous employers.

You need an absence letter and employment details letter fro whoever your employer is at the time of applying for ILR.

Another question I have is - just in case I get to the point of only getting the CoS from my new employer by the time my current visa expires, can I still stay in UK to apply for new visa?

No, just having a cos doesn't give you a right to stay in the UK. It isn't a visa or visa application.

You must apply for a visa BEFORE your current visa expires. Failing to do that, means you have no legal status and also cannot work.

Due to current covid situation, is there a flexibility provided by UK govt to allow people to start a job with CoS only and no need to wait till visa is obtained?

What is the right time to tell the current employer that i'm leaving. Is it after the new employer provides a CoS? Or once i get an offer letter?

Can someone have 2 CoS at the same time?
