ILR dependant applying for abs extension

Post by Ramakrishna69 » Thu Aug 06, 2020 10:13 am

Hi ,

I have got my ILR 1 year ago and I have got ILR through Tier 2 general route. My wife came as pBS dependant 2 years ago now she is going for extension. When I am filling application I have got couple of doubts.

Question 1- Which visa or permission to stay has Mr xxxxxx applied for or been granted?
Choose the service that Mr xxxxxxxxx most recently applied for, even if their application is still being processed. If the main applicant has been granted indefinite leave to remain or British Citizenship, you should choose the PBS Tier under which they were granted leave before.

do I need to select tier 2 general ?

question 2 - They are asking for Home office reference number I am selecting BRP option.which BRP number do I need to give? MY tier 2 bro number or ILR BRP number?

question 3 - Is Mr xxxxxxx work in a shortage occupation? does the tier 2 general comes under shortage occupation? I am working software test analyst?

Please do not post full names of yourself or family on the forum. It is a very public page and we have many scammers and spammers trawling the forum daily.

It is based on what your last CoS was, not what your current job is.

Either, it makes no difference. UKVI have YOUR full immigration details.

Either, it doesn't matter. It won't be a reason for refusal.

It is currently a shortage occupation, but was likely NOT one when you applied for ILR.

If you choose this in the form and have shortpaid the visa fee, UKVI might write to you to pay the top up fees.

What information did you fill in???

We don't have sight of the inline forms and questions.

You should have added your partner's ilr expiry date to get the IHS fee. If you added the tier 2 visa date, it will give you 0.

The person you're joining or remaining with
Visa route - there is no ILR option
visa type - there is no irl option

I have selected tier 2 and tier -2 general upto 3 years . is this correct?

my ilk expires end of 2024 but she need only 3 years visa. do I need to enter the correct expiry date or only 3 years from now?

Put ilr expiry date as date august 2023 to get the correct fee.
