Change in Share Holders and ILR

Post by Tamoor » Tue Aug 11, 2020 12:34 pm

First of all I am very thankful for this website and the users for providing useful information regarding immigration matters.

I am due for my ILR in September, but I have come across a slight problem. I have been working for the same company for last 5 years. My company has three share holders (A,B & C). A is 45% share holder, B is 45% share holder & C is 10% share holder. Share holder C is selling his 10% share to owners A & B. Share holders A and B will be 50/50% share holders from September. Please note share holders A & B live in France.

Share holder C is also a director of the company. A new director will be taking over in September but he is not a share holder.

My questions are as follows:

1. Change of director (Not a share holder): Notify through SMS, get him Authorising and Level 1 user.
2. Change of shareholder: Notify UKVI is enough or does the company needs to apply new sponsor licence ?

I think as there is no significance change in shares it will not matter, but I want expert advise. Secondly if the company needs to apply for new license, how long it will take them to get a new license.

I will be really grateful if someone can get back to me on urgent basis, as I will be submitting my ILR application next month.

I am sorry if I had to email from a different email address. Unfortunately I cannot access to my mirzatkhalid account. I am more than happy to log in from other account, but I cannot reset the password.

Your sponsor needs to comply with their duties as per the UKVI guide: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 0_v1.0.pdf

Change in shares should not affect the license (unlike change in total ownership). I suggest to let your sponsor deal with its duties/compliance
