I have suffered from domestic abuse at the hands of my estranged husband; who came over to the UK in June 2019. I have a 3 month year old baby and I informed the home office of my marriage break down in May 2020. He used me to get a visa, and was pressurising me to have a baby, which I now know was to secure his settlement in the UK. In cases which children are involved how long does the home office take to make a decision on spouse visa curtailments? The home office have said they will reply to my query in due course. But I just wanted to get an estimate of how long this can take? Your input will be much appreciated

There is no timeline in relation of curtailment and you wont be notified about its status/progress.

Could be. Also whatever you have done so far is actually the maximum you are obliged/restricted to do I am afraid.

This is a typical case.There are many cases of this type HO has to deal .There is always a blame game in such cases mainly Briton based spouse accusing foreign spouse of getting married for papers which is baseless as the marriage wasn't imposed on the british spouse ,they happily marry and once don't get along for various other reasons mainly money and then the blame game gets in.Even if the curtailment is made which can be within a month as HO loves curtailing and does it so quick ,but ,he will still be able to stay here on the basis of his child provided he keeps contact with the child which is his right.

As stated by seagul, reporting situation of relationship/marriage is all you can do. Further actions taken or not lies with HO and they will not update you except you still have contact with the spouse who may tell you what is going on. Other than that, you have done your bit.
