What about biometrics? I planned once the naturalisation has been approved.
Biometric enrolment
An application may be rejected as invalid if the person does not enrol your biometrics when requested.

My son will come to the uk. Its temporary absence to visit grandmother.

My biggest concern is if he can apply without passport?
And whats the length off the processing time for naturalisation?
Also the time after the naturalisation was granted ? ( CAN THE APPLICANT CHOOSE THE TIME OF BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT )?

Thanks

Unclear what you mean. If he is returning to the UK, the he obviously has a passport.

Children are REGISTERED as British. Only Adults are Naturalised. Applications can take anywhere between 8 weeks and 6 months, sometimes longer.
Also the time after the naturalisation was granted ? ( CAN THE APPLICANT CHOOSE THE TIME OF BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT )?
Biometric appointments are attended BEFORE 'naturalisation was granted'. You cannot be approved for citizenship if you have NOT enrolled biometrics.

1) So after you made the application you get the dates of biometrics appointment ? Almost immediately after you applied?

2) and Yes he will return to UK on valid passport. ( BUT I AM PLANNING TO APPLY FOR NATURALISATION IN HIS ABSENCE, using picture of his PASSPORT) AS I HAVE UNDERSTOOD DOCUMENTS ARE UPLOADED online?

There are currently delays and they are still dealing with the backlog. They are currently dealing with late July and early August applicants.

It doesn't change the fact that the CHILD must attend and enroll biometrics IN PERSON as part of the application process.

But you don't need the actual passport to apply?

and as you said there will be 1 month at least the of delay/backlog? It will not be instant requirement to do the biometrics ?
COVID 19 changed many things

How old are the children? Is time of the essence?

What you are proposing may be possible for the online MN1 application, as the Appropriate receiving authorities are in the UK.

I suspect they also need applicants’ locations to make the correct appointments for them to enroll biometrics in person. They may want sight of original documents at the Biometrics enrollment or request you to post them.

Suggest you explain your children’s circumstances with/in the application. Any deception may make the application invalid.

Why why why?
Tell me why many people,e think about deception?
As soon as you talk to someone they call it deception. Mentality ? Or maybe has not read the thread ?

DONT KNOW

Nobody is trying to deceive anyone. I am trying to understand if I can apply in the circumstances my child is away.

Or are you trying to make an online application as if he was in the UK? yes we pretend that we are in the UK
Don’t pretend without their knowledge. Just explain the circumstances and see if they accept it.

There is an option if the applicant is in UK or if not in UK os that is very simple.

I was more concerned that the application can be not accepted on the basis of no passport etc.

As its quite costly more than £1000

You got your answer many times over. Repeating the same question again and again might you give the "right" one, but this probably won't help you in the long term.

People here express opinions based on experiences, not legal ones. Search for applying for first passport from abroad to see the problem. This is perfectly legal, yet people get into trouble - probably not as serious as you would if you "pretend".

Pretending on an application form IS deception. You probably won't be convicted, but risk is not only the 1000 pounds you mention, but you kid having citizenship revoked on the basis they never had it 5 years later and having their life turned upside down.

Prople here are surprisingly patient and trying to help. I suggest you answer the questions asked, e.g., why the hurry. Also please read the answers fully.

Alternatively hire a lawyer or call the helpline. I don't think you can hold accountable any of them either, though.

Good luck.
