An application may be rejected as invalid if the person does not enrol your biometrics when requested.

Unclear what you mean. If he is returning to the UK, the he obviously has a passport. My biggest concern is if he can apply without passport?
Children are REGISTERED as British. Only Adults are Naturalised. Applications can take anywhere between 8 weeks and 6 months, sometimes longer. And whats the length off the processing time for naturalisation?
Biometric appointments are attended BEFORE 'naturalisation was granted'. You cannot be approved for citizenship if you have NOT enrolled biometrics. Also the time after the naturalisation was granted ? ( CAN THE APPLICANT CHOOSE THE TIME OF BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT )?
There are currently delays and they are still dealing with the backlog. They are currently dealing with late July and early August applicants.1) So after you made the application you get the dates of biometrics appointment ? Almost immediately after you applied?
It doesn't change the fact that the CHILD must attend and enroll biometrics IN PERSON as part of the application process.2) and Yes he will return to UK on valid passport. ( BUT I AM PLANNING TO APPLY FOR NATURALISATION IN HIS ABSENCE, using picture of his PASSPORT) AS I HAVE UNDERSTOOD DOCUMENTS ARE UPLOADED online?
Don’t pretend without their knowledge. Just explain the circumstances and see if they accept it.Youngeagle wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 7:49 pmOr are you trying to make an online application as if he was in the UK? yes we pretend that we are in the UK
Thumbs upvaza wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 5:30 pmYou got your answer many times over. Repeating the same question again and again might you give the "right" one, but this probably won't help you in the long term.
People here express opinions based on experiences, not legal ones. Search for applying for first passport from abroad to see the problem. This is perfectly legal, yet people get into trouble - probably not as serious as you would if you "pretend".
Pretending on an application form IS deception. You probably won't be convicted, but risk is not only the 1000 pounds you mention, but you kid having citizenship revoked on the basis they never had it 5 years later and having their life turned upside down.
Prople here are surprisingly patient and trying to help. I suggest you answer the questions asked, e.g., why the hurry. Also please read the answers fully.
Alternatively hire a lawyer or call the helpline. I don't think you can hold accountable any of them either, though.
Good luck.
