Thank you all those who responded. Just for an idea, as of 830am today, around 25 members reported (both in ILR and BC forum) who submitted via IDV app only are waiting. Only 1 member reported waiting via the appointment only. Lets wait and see how the trend evolves.

I booked free appointment tomorrow morning to resubmit. Has anyone done double submission IDV + Appointment ? Will they reject if we mention we have submitted via IDV ?

UKVCAS seems to be confident with their IDV system so they don’t suggest applicant to book appointment unless requested by UKVI. They confirmed by phone that my application has been received and sent to UKVI. Any re-submission will only be duplication and may slow the process.

Although I personally think IDV and appointments are 2 different queue and it does seem IDV queue is quite long hence delay...

Many have done it successfully. If you wish to choose dual submission, it will not harm your application. It only may benefit you. If you are in urgent need of a decision, you can test your luck via appointment now also.
