Applying for British Passport

Post by khan7866 » Sat Jul 11, 2020 11:19 pm

Hi,

I got my Permanent residence last year on 3rd September 2019. Based on my understanding once the year will complete (3rd September 2020) then I can apply for a British Passport. But, I am not sure about the given below points.

1. How to apply for it? I mean do I need to apply online? If yes can you please share the link with me.
2. What are the things that will be required for the application of a British Passport?
3. How early I can apply or do I need to wait till 3rd September 2020?

I will be very thankful if someone able to guide me over these points.

Kind Regards,
H Khan

You can NOT apply for a British Passport like that. You have to apply for Naturalisation as a British Citizen first. Once your application is approved, then you will need to attend an oath ceremony. Only after you become a British Citizen, you can apply for British Passport.

P.S You need to stay minimum of 12 months on ILR plus have to meet all requirements for British Naturalisation application.

Post by khan7866 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 8:44 pm

Hi guys,

I am applying for the naturalisation application and they asked me to provide one professional referee.

One of my very close friend works in Accenture as a Management Consultant (Can be considered a Senior Possition).

Can he be considered as Professional Referee?

I will really appreciate your help over this.

Thanks

Previously made any other UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Post by khan7866 » Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:44 pm

Hi Guys,

I am applying for British Nationality and in the application there is a question given below.

"Have you previously made any other UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?"

And I had previously applied for the following applications

1. UK Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa (Back in 2014 and application got approved)
2. UK Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa extension (Back in 2017 and application got approved)
3. Indefinite Leave to Remain (Back in 2019 and application got approved)

Now in order to answer the above question do I need to mention all above 3 applications?

I will really appreciate your help over this.

Kind Regards,
Khan

Proof of living in the UK

Post by khan7866 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 9:06 pm

Hi Guys,

I am applying for naturalisation as a British Citizen application and for this application I need to submit the proof of living in the UK for last 5 years. For this I am thinking to submit

1. Full scan of my passport.
2. UK driving Liscence

Do you guys think it will be enough or is there any additional thing I am required to submit?

I will really appreciate your response over this matter.

Kind regards,
Khan

You ONLY need your passports to prove residence!! Don't submit extra documents YOU think might be relevant.
