Long residence ILR questions

Post by ash1979 » Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:06 pm

Hello,
Thank you for creating this forum and replying with such specific details for each topic.
I entered UK on 3rd Oct 2010.
My queries are related to Long Residency application that I am in process of filing but not sure if I am doing this right. Below are some of the clarifications I require in regards with the application response pls.

Q1. Do you have any family in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years? I have answered yes and provided details of my wife, daughters who are living with me in UK since 2010. Is my response correct or are there any more detail required for this question.

Q2.Do you have any friends in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years? Again I have answered yes and provided details of my friends and also some colleagues in UK.Is my response correct or are there any more detail required for this question.

Q3. Are you part of any social groups or do you have other cultural ties in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years?
I have suggested that I am involved with local Indian community etc. Is this the correct response?

Q4. Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English? I have cleared the B1 test to prove my knowledge of English. I am answering Yes but it only suggest the next point which is "Tell us the previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain you had". What should be the response to this?
It does not provide any option to add details of my B1 Test exam or even in documents it is not asking for the certificate copy. I cannot get Naric hence I cleared the B1 test.

Looking forward for your guidance. Thanks again

Best Regards
A

For questions 1-3 it is to provide an honest answer as suits your circumstances. The answer you provide hardly has impact on the outcome.

4. Provide them the previous visa route you had that is culminating in this ILR LR you are applying for. When did you clear the B1 you have and was it for a previous application?

Simply upload the certificate along with other documents.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thank you for your prompt response. Sorry to ask for further clarification but want to make sure I have understood the question right.

For questions 1-3 it is to provide an honest answer as suits your circumstances. The answer you provide hardly has impact on the outcome.
Ash- The reason for confusion stems from is the question related to friends, relatives or social group that I have in UK or my country of birth, nationality
The part that confuses me is this: "or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years" should I assume this to be UK or other country

4. Provide them the previous visa route you had that is culminating in this ILR LR you are applying for. When did you clear the B1 you have and was it for a previous application?
Ash- I cleared the B1 2 weeks ago for this application. The previous routes of my visa are Tier 2 ICT Long Term since 2010 sponsored by my employer.
So on English Language question- Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English? I will answer Yes and against this point "Tell us the previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain you had" I will mention Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa. And when I upload the document I will provide the B1 certificate copy. Have I got this right?

Thanks again
