immigration healthcare surcharge (IHS)

Hi All,
Wanted to know whats immigration healthcare surcharge (IHS) for UK Tier-II General Visa for Shortage of Occupation category If Visa applied from India in INR.

It is currently £400 per year. If a 3 year cos/visa, it is £1200.

UKVI use oanda.com for exchange rate conversion, rate ukvi use is set monthly.


IHS is increasing soon to £624.

Thanks for reply, I have been charged 120000 for main and 140000 for dependent for 3 years . Is that service charges added on top ?

Current rates are 120000 is £1264 and 140000 is £1476. Unclear why dependent has been charged more IHS if that is what the fee is you have stayed as it should be the same.

Overpaid IHS is usually refunded.

Hi All,
I have got UK tier 2 General Visa Stamped today,
I have been charged extra on Helath surcharge IHS for my dependent and it's actual for me.
Any idea how to get the refund.

Any guidance please.
