Change of address after IDV submission

Post by Deral » Sun Sep 13, 2020 2:18 pm

Hello,

A follow-up question on this. An applicant has submitted the documents through DVI APP on Aug 31st and has moved homes during the first week of September. On Sep 12 she submitted the "Change of circumstances" which says that the data will be processed within three working days. This creates a possibility that the decision letter could be sent to the old address.

So far all of the UKVI communication has been done through email, but I don't know whether the decision letter is sent through email as well.

Could someone share their experience? Did UKVI send the decision letter by email or rather by post?

Hi everyone, it seems like noone has an answer to the above...

Could someone tell me how the Tier 2 General (change of employer) approval is usually sent? Is it by email?

Thanks. I got mine on Oct 4th! I have setup mail forwarding via Royal mail so hopefully that will help. Nothing else can be done at this point it seems.

I tried contacting UKVCAS throught the enquiry section on their website and the response was as following:
"Unfortunately, we are unable to update your address. In order to change the address on your application, please write a cover letter and upload to our website (before your appointment) and/or contact UKVI by visiting https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk and following the instructions to find the phone number most relevant to you".

I have no idea where to upload a cover letter on their website though.

Does anybody know how to do that?

Your brp card doesn't come via royal mail. The courier will only deliver it to the address ukvi has on their system from your application.

If you are not at the address, they usually return the brp card to ukvi.

Approvals letters are not sent out these days. It is by email. Buy it is not the approval letter or email that is important, it is your brp.

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know regarding the courier. Would know if there is any way I can reach UKVI to update my address? Is it the form below?

It turns out TNT handles all the BRP courier deliveries. We spoke to them and the plan is to contact them again once we receive the delivery tracking/reference number and change the delivery address.

Has anyone been through this stage? Does this make sense?

Seems like the issue is resolved. Just telling the community know in case someone else in a similar situation.

You need the consignment number which can be found in the email where UKVI confirms that the BRP is on the way. Call TNT and ask them to change the delivery address. TNT will confirm the change with UKVI and send BRP to the new address.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi, sorry for late response. We're still waiting for TNT to get an OK from UKVI. They said it takes about two weeks. Let me know how your progresses!
