Gaps in evidence for BRP application. Is a cover letter something i should send

Post by pablo1996 » Mon Oct 12, 2020 5:35 pm

I already have indefinite leave to remain stamp in an old passport but need it updated on my new passport. one of the requirements for the BRP application is evidence is continuous residency.

My issue is that i have a few gaps for the following;

My primary school as i changed school regularly so there's a little gap of a few months on two occasions.

May 2017 - June 2018 is also a gap as I didn't have a job straight away after graduating uni. So i have no letters to my name/ didn't claim benefits and changed my GP so im unable to gain that previous information.

I do however have my full patient summary but i'm reluctant to send this, due to the sensitive information it holds.

My question is would i alongside the application need to provide a cover letter stating why these gaps are here and will a lack of this letter be detrimental to my application. if so how would this look like?

otherwise is there anything else i can do?

Many thanks

If you search hard, then I am sure that you will definitely fish out some of the hidden evidences which might be utilized such as bank statements, car insurance documents, utility bill/tenancy agreement etc. But still with some visible gaps, there might no be major issue arise provided the authorities will easily be convinced that you haven't lost your ILR by having left the country for 2+ years (that is the core purpose of asking these evidences).
