Transfer ILR to BRP

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here can share your experience on the timescale for transferring the ILR (from expired passport) to BRP?

I have just attended the in-person biometric submission last week and wonder what to expect (although I know it can take up to 6 months). Also, does the 6-month start from submission of online application to the UKVCAS or from the biometric appointment date, please?

Academically, the date of the submission of application is the date of application, and depending on the individual case and contemporary UKVI practices which are chameleon, nothing can be predicted for sure as what will be the baseline. Most often an application is processed within 6 months but equally these might go considerably beyond to this estimate.
