Tier 2 .. Maternity pay query

hello moderators,
i am on tier2 sponsored visa and work as dentist in scotland. my question is related to the rule for maternity pay on Tier2.
General rule for dentists in scotland is that they get full pay from NHS for a period of 6months. however, i am on a contract with my employer for 35k a year.
is my employer obliged to pay me the contratual pay for whole of a period of my maternity leave or ll i get paid my contractual pay for 6months only?
what is the rule for maternity of tier 2 visa holder...

You get your maternity pay based on the NHS maternity policy, so for 6 months.
