Provide two entries, one as a director and one as an employee.
That sounds reasonable. Thanks.

Now when I leave the end date field blank it doesn't let me go on to the next section. How do I show that employment is still ongoing?

Just provide the start date when you became the director. Tick both employee and director in the same entry then.

Ok. my head is tricking me up now...

Have you had any trips outside of the UK?

I presume this is since 5 years?

My last trip was on 7 November 2015...I'm looking to submit this after i get the funds for application in December 2020 ...say 17th onwards.

Do i say No here...or do i just say yes and state the trip taken in Novemebr 2015?

You have to count your qualifying period from the date of application i.e. when you pay and submit online.
If you plan to submit on 17th Dec 2020, your qualifying period will be 18th Dec 2015 - 17th Dec 2020.

7th Nov trip. When did you get back to UK? Make sure you are physically present in UK at the start of the qualifying period i.e. 18th Dec 2015 in the above example.

I've just checked the stamps on the passport: it's

Thats fine then. If you plan to submit your application in Dec 2020, your qualifying period will be Dec 2015-Dec 20 so NO absences from UK within your qualifying period.

Hey Guys,

Heater debate going on here...so we all need help to put this to rest.

So here it is:

Entry Clearance Issue Date: 23/10/2015
Entry into the UK: 7/11/2015
Current Tier 1 Ent Part Visa Extension Valid until 23/12/2022

Question:
1. What is the 5 years qualifying period date from?
2. From what date is it suitable to apply for ILR?

Please help resolve this debate.

Many thanks.

1. Entry clearance issue date.

2. Within 28 days before 23/10/2020 or latest date, by the current visa expiry date.

Not sure why there are issues or no understanding. This is all very well published and posted on the forum.

Thanks, for your response.

Well, that's what happens when people decide to send their application without the help and support of a solicitor....COVID-19 making people rethink their ways. So they're making sure they get everything spot-on.

So if that's the case, is it right to say that there was an absence from the UK between the issue date and entrance date? I mean would you say the applicant was absent from the UK between 23/10/2015 and 07/11/2015?

wow!

Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?
They've answered Yes here. Their current visa (Tier 1 entre part 2nd ext) was issued 23/12/2019. Have they answered this question correctly?

Also, Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018?
They've answered No here. Have they answered this question correctly?

These are the only questions regarding absences on the form SET(0). So where would they need to declare the absence between the issue date and entrance date?

Oh, I see what you mean. This topic is for BC. My previous question is for ILR. Since they're family, I thought to ask all the questions here. What will you have me do?

Hiya!

A burning question here.

So on the form regarding my referee, My referee is a Director of a Limited Company. Do I just put that in the response field for the below question?

What is their profession?

Secondly, what is the best response to the below question? The referee is my friend and also a professional

How does the referee know the applicant?

Many thanks.

On the issue of self-assessment. I'm in a major dilemma here. It's a bit confusing to me.

In the past, I have filled self-assessment twice for one of my Company A, which is currently closed.

I'm currently running my Company B and get paid via the PAYE. I get paid £700 per month and currently furloughed. I collect Child benefit for my toddlers.

Do I need to submit a self-assessment with my naturalisation application? I have never registered as a self-employed person, I only submitted self-assessment in the past because of the dividend payments I took from my Company A.

please help me out. Thanks.
