Application Process to extend visa.

Hi, just wondering my wife visa is due to expire coming Feb. She got the visa in 2018 May. I got some queries for renewal.

• BRP states visa is till mid feb. Time frame is longer than 2.5 years thnn i know of. Why?

• Does the new point system affect us as we are planning to start application on beginning of 3rd week of Jan. Keeping in mind the recommended 28 days before expiry.

1. I initial spouse visa entry is usually 3 months longer which is pretty customary.

2. No but keep a constant eye on the rules and keep tuned with the board.

Hello, i come to understand now all the application FLR(M) to extend my wife's visa needs to be done via online ONLY. I haven't gone through the process yet. Could you provide how are the supporting documents sent.

• Will they accept supporting documents taken by a phone camera or does it has to be properly scanned?

• I assume these supporting documents needs to be uploaded or do they have to be sent via post after form completion?

• What is the general timeline to submit Biometric info after form has been submitted?

1) I have always used my phone to scan documents. No issues as long the file size is below 6MB/file.

2) Scan and upload via UKVCAS.

3) 45 working days after submission.
