Tuberculosis test

Post by LonDon7481 » Wed Nov 11, 2020 4:54 pm

Hi again,

My family did the biometrics today and the applications are transferred to decision maker.

I have some concerns if you could help please.

I am wondring if anyone have an idea how the UKVI deal with not providing the TB test when it's beyond your control.

My family couldn't do the test as in my country Iraq all IOM centres are closed by order from the UK embassy, and under the covid-19 circumstances it's not possible to travel to another country for the test plus as Iraqis they need visa to most countries and most embassies are closed or very difficult conditions to get visa or travel , my family wife and 3 children did the TB test in local clinic, we know that it will not be accepted but just to show them that we have tried our best.

Also my eldest son will be 18 years old in January 2021, he is born 01/2003, so I am worried that they will refuse him the visa especially if the decision takes months.

Thank you

Ideally you should have waited until the reopening of the IOM centre and then have applied despite there are few temporary concessions.
If you’re unable to provide specified documents
In some cases, we will be able to decide your application without seeing certain specified documents if you cannot get them due to coronavirus. Otherwise, you may be asked to submit the specified documents after the date of application.

Thank you so much.

We couldn't wait as I mentioned my son will be 18 years in January and the IOM centres are closed until further notice, we just couldn't take the risk so we have applied then we see what they decide about considering all the actual circumstances.

Thank you for the link.

Post by LonDon7481 » Fri Nov 20, 2020 5:49 pm

Hi,

I want to know please if you could help how I can send document to the UKVI decision maker ?

My family applied for family reunion visa and did the biometrics also in the tracking it shows that the application was received by decison maker center, the thing is that my family couldn't provide the TB test with the application as all IOM centers were closed due to coronavirus, and today we got an email from the IOM center saying that they open and start processing few applicant and that we can register for the test, and of course my family wil register and do the test in case the UKVI ask for it again, but I want to know is there any way to send the test result before them asking ?

Thank you

You will most likely be contacted by the caseworker. Better to wait.
