Payslip and Bank Statement

Post by Adam17 » Wed Nov 11, 2020 7:37 pm

Hi

I would like your advice on a matter related to bank statement.

In the check list, they ask for the most recent payslip and bank statement, while I have the most recent pay slip (salary paid on 27th oct), the latest bank statement I have is issued on 16 Oct, which doesn’t show the most recent salary paid. I have contacted the bank and said they will send one within 5 working days, but it will be too late since my appointment is on 16th Nov, and the paper copy will not arrive by then, and although the next online statement is issued on 16th Nov, it will not appear until after 2-3 days on Barclays Cloud.

I am able to generate a pdf of transactions that show the most recent salary, but not a statement, I don’t think this would sufficient.

Should I just cancel my appointment, and book one at a later stage? or just provide last month’s statements and payslips, as well as the pdf of recent transitions (not a statement) and provide a covering letter (risky option)?

Rescheduling will be a big pain, so I am thinking to visit a branch tomorrow to see if they can help? I already contacted them online and they said they can only post one, and I will have to wait for 5-7 working days.

Your supporting documents must be dated in or before the date you applied online and NOT your biometric appointment.

Can you not go into the bank and get a statement??

You can print an up to date statement from Barclays kiosk self-service machine. It is digitally stamped and dated. Check the branch you will visit has it.

I applied on 6 Nov, and BRP on 16th Nov. So technically in need to provide Oct Payslip and a statement showing that payment. Thank you. I will go and visit the branch tomorrow,

Barclays stated on their website:
"
Our branches will be open wherever possible during the coronavirus lockdown, to help with urgent and essential banking only
To help us serve those who need it most, we ask that you only visit a branch for immediate financial needs that can’t wait"

hopefully they can sort this out, and consider my request as an urgent one.

So does this mean the statement i will get now will be invalid, since it will show that it is dated after the submission date? i submitted my application on 6th Nov.

To be relevant for consideration with your application, it can not be dated after submission.

So in this case, shall i just provide the latest available BANK statement issued on 16 OCT (Still within the 28 days, since i applied on 6 Nov) although this statement does not show the most recent salary payment (Paid on 27 Oct), but it shows the one before (paid on 27 Sep), and then include a cover letter along this explaining the availability of bank statement

Or shall i just get one from the bank tomorrow and include it regardless although it will be dated after the submission date.

I am also planning to include 6 months payslips, and the last 5 bank statement.

Sorry if i am causing confusion here, but really didn't expect this last min hiccup

You need a bank statement dated up to the date you submitted online that also shows the salary credit to match your payslip. This is all clearly explained in the guidance notes.

Thank you, so do you advise me to do now. does this mean my application will be reject?

To recap
I submitted my application on 5th Nov. (BRP date on 16th Nov)
The latest bank statement i have is issued on 16th Oct showing the salary paid on 27th Sep
The most recent payslip i have is issued on 27th Oct, however, i don't have a bank statement to show this. the next bank statement is issued on 16th Nov.

I am really panicking now, and appreciate any guidance that can be provided please.

I read this in a different post:

" There is no issue with your salary being paid on the 14th not showing on the statement. You can provide 3 months payslips

I can do that, but wouldn't the print date show on the statement cause any issue? Being after i submitted my application?

Should not be a problem as you are relying on your payslips and the salary hit your account end Oct. So you met the requirements before you applied.

Also, i found this topic is similar to mine. Zimba advised that it is ok if the latest bank statement didnt show the most recent payslip payment?

And this can be remedied by providing more than 1 payslip.

In any case i will visit the bank tomorrow and get a statement up to 5 Nov

You can not get a proper statement if it is not generated yet but yes it will print the transactions till 5th Nov. You can specify the dates on the kiosk.

So the bank statement dated 16 Oct i have, plus the printed transaction until 5th Nov should be sufficient?
