ILR for Tier 4 dependent

Post by kitty1486 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 1:15 pm

Hello everyone,

Just wondering I can apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK if I am a PBS dependent of Tier 4 student? I am living in UK since 5 years. My wife is still a tier 4 student?

Does my wife need to have ILR before I could apply for the ILR?

The guidance is not very clear on PBS dependents of Tier 4 students who have been in UK for 5 years and I was hoping to receive some assistance.

Thanks in advance.

No you can't because the route you are inferring is for those PBS dependants whose sponsors have tier2/tier1 visas etc.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

In other words, the Tier 4 visa is one of the visas that does not lead to ILR after 5 years.
