BRP has maiden Surname and Passport has married lastname

Post by sfdcani » Sun Nov 22, 2020 5:07 pm

Hello Smart people once again,

My wife is on PBS dependent visa. We 've recently applied for a "change of circumstances" application as she has renewed her passport and it's now in her married name. She had the biometric done through IDV app on 6.09.20 and we are still waiting for new BRP to arrive.

The question is, will it be okay to travel with current BRP (with maiden name) and passport in married name if she carries our marriage certificate and old passport? We will be flying on 20.12.20 and be back here in the UK in February. Will UKBA allow her entry?

Alos, Website says it may take up to 8 weeks but it is now 11 weeks. Any advise to whom to connect to ? , like any email address .

Thanks .

That you could be able to do very safely before submitting the application but now it will be a very hazardous manoeuvre because your existing BRP could have been voided by now/very shortly.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
