Spouse visa extension application made, but I need some advice

Post by Goroundandround » Fri Nov 27, 2020 3:25 pm

Hello all,

I made an application for my visa extension a week ago and booked an appointment with UKVCAS.
The earliest available slot was 4 weeks after my application date. I found the date was later than I would like it to be as my visa expires 2 weeks or so after the appointment. Do you experience the similar issue with me?
I hear that I am eligible to stay in the UK until the decision is made even after my visa expires.
Do I understand the rule correctly?

Also, after I have submitted my application form, I have found out that I did not put my spouse's all given names. I only put his given name. I wanted to correct it but it was impossible, although I did not pay for my application at that stage. I had to submit it with concerns. Do you think this may affect the decision making on my visa?

Another confusing question on the application was 'Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary'. I said Yes. If it's necessary, I mean, my visa is rejected, of course yes. But it seems to be that I should have said No. What do you think of this answer?

Now I need to submit supporting documents on the UKVCAS website.
For passport, should I scan all pages of my passport or the pages with my face on it would be ok?
Also, the UKVCAS has a limitations for the name of the document files. Could anyone advise me if space in the title is accepted?

Also, there are document categories on the website and there is no clear guideline for which documents are for which category. I have uploaded finance documents to Finance and all other documents to others. Could you advise me if it is ok?

Thank you very much for your time.

That has repetitively been echoed several times that the date of the submission of application is the date of application and the biometrics enrollment can be booked even after the expiry of visa. In that case section 3C come into play which carry forward the same rights until the date of decisions. Ideally attach a covering letter to address the errors along with its corrections.
