It's hard to say which date the HO follows for timelines because each case is different. But based on past posts that I have read on this forum, your application is not complete until biometrics are done. So this usually means that no decision can be made on your application and usually the case is not assigned to a case worker until biometrics completion.zeeshi1122 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 11:45 amHi everyone,
Just wanted to know does ukvi look into your application once its submitted online or after the biometrics done? Also are they dealing with applications from date it submitted or from the date we attend the biometric appointment?
Thanks
Yes i am thinking the same as according to my SAR when i submitted an application (previous application) nothing happened and once i have done the biometric then i can see the notes that application is valid assigned to case worker.azLondon2020 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 11:49 amIt's hard to say which date the HO follows for timelines because each case is different. To be honest, you have done all what you could do. You can only wait now and hope for the best. I would still suggest to write to them via post and keep chasing them. This is unacceptable wait.tsdgy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:49 pm
I’ve been watching this thread for a while so thought to post my concern finally.
I made my application Set (O) 29th April 2020
Documents were sent to case worker via email and also via UKVCAS online submission
Biometrics via IDV 5th Sept 2020
It’s nearly 8 months and I haven’t read anyone else from April who is still waiting. My local MP sent query to HO but no response yet. My employer has also emailed in the last week. I’ve raised a complaint online with UKVI hoping some updates from them.
I’ve booked biometrics appointment for 29th December but will the dual submission work? Should I still go for the appointment?
What should I do next? Is this normal ?
Thanks in advance!
Better to cancel it as per UKVCAS’s instructions it is not advisable.tsdgy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 2:32 pmSorry for posting in wrong thread.
Thanks a lot for quick response. I’ll try post a letter asap on the given address.
Should I go to dual submit my biometrics on 29th Dec? Its too far away from my place so I hope they don’t reject taking biometrics when I visit UKVCAS
Kind regards
Only for enhanced centres or otherwise you buy separately (core, premium).srsw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 4:21 pmOne thing I noticed or suspect from personal experience is that if one goes for paid biometrics appointment (most likely), then document checking service is automatically included as part of the service, even though under services it says "standard appointment".
So, even if we self upload/submit the documents in advance, they won't go to ukvi until biometrics appointment.
Yeah, that's true.
Obviously there is no clear pattern, compleixties could be one reason but some getting descisions after a while is like just as discussed previously, a lazy, not productive case worker (s) who just take their time. i am also thinking as of why the descisions for applciants in Nov are coming through as more OCT applicants are waiting. i applied 1 nov and gave bio on 13th nov, and descisions are coming who applied after me and gave bio after me as well!!bex654 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 12:29 amA friend of mine, who submitted his biometric almost one month after me, got his decision the other day. I just can't understand what is going wrong with mine now. Our cases were almost identical. I only traveled for holidays more frequently than him.
I initially thought they may prioritize certain industries or soc codes. But it is also not the case.
But my confusion is, if that’s the case, how this can be allowed.raj_262920 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 11:14 amObviously there is no clear pattern, compleixties could be one reason but some getting descisions after a while is like just as discussed previously, a lazy, not productive case worker (s) who just take their time. i am also thinking as of why the descisions for applciants in Nov are coming through as more OCT applicants are waiting. i applied 1 nov and gave bio on 13th nov, and descisions are coming who applied after me and gave bio after me as well!!bex654 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 12:29 amA friend of mine, who submitted his biometric almost one month after me, got his decision the other day.
