Switch from Tier 2 ICT to PBS - Skilled worker (new employer)

Post by sid05 » Wed Dec 23, 2020 12:51 pm

I am working in the UK on a Tier 2 ICT visa and I was looking out for jobs in the UK for a while. Recently I have been offered a full time job and they are ready to provide COS, so here are my questions:

1. I want to use the COS for applying to PBS (Skilled worker visa), but will I be able to do so before resigning from my current job?
2. Can I be serving notice period in my current company, while the PBS application is in progress?
3. Can I travel outside UK while the PBS application is in progress?
4. Most importantly, in terms of documentation, what changes when I convert to a Skilled worker visa; i.e. do I get a new BRP? or will I have to get stamping on my passport?

Thanks for the answers CR001!

Will the existing BRP (Tier 2 ICT) be valid till I get the new one (Skilled Worker)? Once I resign from the current company, will the existing BRP not be void?

Yes.

No. Your ICT visa ceases if a new visa is approved.

Hi There,
I got similar query. Could you please confirm if you got more clarity on this topic? Did you face any challenge so far? My existingitc tier 2 has started from Jan 2020. I am looking for
1. Am I eligible for this switch.
2. What will the overall process?

Regards
