Property inspection report

Post by Bengali1985 » Thu Dec 24, 2020 1:33 am

Hi,

My brother is going to apply for spouse visa to bring his wife into the UK. We understand that he needs property inspection report as he will be sharing house with unrelated adults. I would be grateful if you could advise whether property inspection report prepared by an estate agent is acceptable by home office or not.
Thanks.

Some estate agents have in their employ people who are certified to do such reports. So if done in compliance with requirements it will be accepted.

I was not aware that the link posted above was listed as spammer, the information is posted in good faith and I know many of my friends who have personally used the company without any concerns including a successful application so I am baffled why they are listed as spammers.

Thank you.

Re: Financial requirements spouse visa

Post by Bengali1985 » Sun Jan 17, 2021 7:21 pm

Hi,

Please can someone advise as to why we have been asked to provide payslips for 12 months as opposed to 6 months.
My brother is applying for spouse visa for his wife.
My brother has 2 jobs.
From main job he earns £18138 and from part time job he earns £7248.
As he earns less than £18,600 from main job he has selected 'the same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount' but following that he gets instructions to provide payslips for 12 months. Please advise what options should he select in this case as he mets financial requirements with 2 jobs. We would highly appreciate your help.

As per Appendix FM-SE

2. In respect of salaried employment in the UK (except where paragraph 9 applies), all of the following evidence must be provided:
(a) Payslips covering:
(i) a period of 6 months prior to the date of application if the person has been employed by their current employer for at least 6 months.

The application has default answers when select option 2, 3 & 4 to ask for any payslips in the periods of 12 months. Just add a cover letter to explain you are combining two jobs to meet the requirement and payslips covering the periods of 12 months should only be provided when applying under CAT B.

"ii) any period of salaried employment in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application if the person has been employed by their current employer for less than 6 months (or at least 6 months but the person does not rely on paragraph 13(a) of this Appendix), or in the financial year(s) relied upon by a self-employed person."

Hello,

Can someone kindly confirm if it's mandatory to upload docs in the Appendix section of the VFS documents upload portal. I believe appendix 2 has been embedded with main application now. In the main application we have mentioned (additional comments section) that the applicant is relying on two jobs to meet financial requirements.
I was wondering if we need to add anything to Appendix section of the VFS docs uploader now or can be left blank. I would very much appreciate a response to my query. Thanks.
