Ceremony invitation send by emails or paper letters via royalmail?

I recently checked on my council website regarding citizenship ceremony that states HO will send invitation email. Are they start sending out emails instead of paper letters? Anyone get approved at the end of last November received invitation email or paper letters? Many thanks!

Could be any/both. I was approved in November and received ceremony invitation via email.
