Submitting UKVCAS Documents to UKVI before appointment

Hi experts,

Application is for Naturalisation and submitted the forms. paid etc., however see no UKVCAS appointments for a month atleast, I've uploaded the documents to the UKVCAS site and in search of the appointments which are hardly any at the moment.

wanted to know if it's fine to Submit the documents to UKVI which are uploaded to site now, and does it mean that UKVI will start processing the application or check and confirm if they need more documents? or does it speed up the application process or doesn't matter at all?

Self-submission is OPTIONAL. If you want to benefit from the new feature, you must upload and self-submit up to 48hrs before the appointment. If you do NOT want to self-submit, you can upload ANYTIME before the appointment date and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended as you may save some processing time - your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics in this case. You can self-submit only ONCE. But if you forget to upload any documents, you can always upload later on (after self-submission) and submit at the appointment then (you will not be able to self-submit again but can submit at appointment again).

just a follow up question, do UKVI starts processing the application after I self-submit the uploaded documents now or will they only look after the biometrics (might take a month or more for appointment)?

And also if I may, since we've received ILR an year ago, aren't the previous biometrics of no use?

If I was you I would search for next 3/4 days regularly throughout the day/after midnight. You may get lucky to find an earlier cancellation. If you fail, book one latest on Sat 00:01 GMT - you will get one for 26th Feb. I would suggest to check your luck before Saturday to find a cancellation. Try different locations.

I've been searching all round the clock with various locations, and since we are 3 applicants, as per twitter response from ukvcas, not all enhanced service points accommodate multiple people and I'd have to only look for core service points.

You need to be MORE lucky to find 3 slots cancelled together but keep trying. Especially after midnight and 6-7am in the morning

Hi Experts,

A follow up question on my Naturalisation application.

For the Residency Proof of 5Years + 1 year After ILR, I've uploaded the Passport copies with all the travel stampings at border, is that enough to prove the residency or Do I need to upload the P60s' too? please clarify?
