Applying for the UK spouse visa

Hi, I hope you're fine.
My wife lives in Canada and doesn't have the Canadian PR. We're planning to apply for the spouse visa from there. Will she be able to apply from there? or would she have to fly back to her home country to apply for the visa?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What is her immigration status in Canada?? Is she there as a tourist or..?

She has PR, However she has applied for an extension at the moment as her PR is about to be expired.
and we dont know when it would be back. So, my question is can we apply in canada for a spouse visa whilst waiting ?
