Switch to Skilled worker dependent - priority application

Hi All,

The main applicant visa application is completed and bio metric is not done yet , so there is no Visa expiry date. While trying to fill dependent partner and kid's visa application under skilled route separately, the IHS page asking for main applicant Visa expiry date. My question is "What should we do in this case as I can not fill the current visa expiry date which will calculate the IHS fees for under a year" ??

Same end date you out in your application, in line with your cos length.

If I put the COS end date as visa expiry date, the IHS is calculating for 3.5 years(1872+312). Is that ok to pay and will there be a refund later?
Also I would like to know if I need to upload a cover letter stating about the above visa expiry date ?

Could you please help me with below query.

I was on ICT tier 2 ICT visa and have applied for skilled worker visa , decision yet to come.
I am yet to apply for my dependet under skilled worker route and the visa expiry date for dependent is in 2 weeks of time (1st week of march)..
Is it legal to apply the dependent visa any day beofre the expiry or I need to book biometric also?
Will it consider as overstay?

As long as the new application is submitted on or before the date of the current visa expiry it will be considered submitted in time.

Hi,

I have attended the switching to skilled worker visa bio-metric 10 days before and I was expecting a decision by today. As my dependent visa (ICT) getting expired in 3 days, I need to apply skilled worker dependent visa for them.
My question is if I applied dependent as priority, will it create any confusion as main applicant visa application is a standard one. Can the dependent visa decision will come in 5 days even if main applicant decision is still pending? Can this be applied through a covering letter explaining this situation.

Please advise.

They will not get a decision before your visa is granted, whether you pay for priority or not.

Their visas will only be processed once your visa decision is made.

It will take as long as it takes.

Why spend the money when there is no guarantee for either your visa or a quick decision for their visa?
