Naturalisation for baby born in the UK

Post by ajg » Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:39 pm

Hi
I have a 1 year old daughter who was born in the UK and holds an Indian passport. I am currently in the process of applying for my ILR. I plan on applying for naturalisation for my daughter once I get my ILR approved. Does my daughter need a valid UK visa on her Indian passport when I apply for naturalisation for her? I am confused as I have been told that she needs to have a visa before she can apply for naturalisation but she has not left the country since she was born.
Many thanks
A

No she does not. Note also that children are registered as British not naturalised
Char (CR001 not Casa)
