Tier 2 PBS dependent - BRP end date incorrect

Hi

I have a query about my child's BRP end date which is incorrect. We (My child and I) applied together in Oct' 20 from India. My Tier 2 General Leave to Remain is until Aug'23 as per CoS whereas the dependent has been granted visa with end date in Sep'21.

My husband is in Tier 2 ICT since 2018 and his visa end date is in Sep'21. Not sure how my child's visa end date is mapped to my husband's visa end date when child visa application was dependent on my Tier 2 visa.

I had submitted for a review using email address Administrative.reviews@homeoffice.gov.uk who then got back saying that admin review is only applicable for in-country applications. I was told to contact out of country admin review via https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... a-decision which is only for visa rejections and not my case.

I have also used the link https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... rt-problem for BRP correction on 17th Jan but no response / update from Home Office so far. Please suggest on how to get this issue sorted.

This is normal and is stated in the immigration rules. A child's PBS dependent visa will only be granted in line with the other parents visa if they are on a different pbs visa that expires sooner.

The child would only get a visa expiry same as yours if the other parent was also applying for a PBS dependent visa at the same time as the child or already held a PBS dependent visa based on your tier 2.

There is no error. Page 30 of the Dependent Family Members in Work Routes states this very clearly too, second document/link in the Google search below.

Many thanks for replying, really appreciate that. Now I understand its a valid case. However as the Dependent application's category/length in period and IHS fee was set to 3 years by default (as dependent application was linked to my 3 year application), I would like to know whether a claim can be made for refund of last 2 years duration.
