First UK Passport

Post by inamulhaq10 » Thu Mar 11, 2021 6:33 pm

Hello,
Please advice what is the best and quick way to apply for UK passport after getting certificate. Is there an urgent service availble? What supporting documents are needed and do we need to post these documents?

How much does it cost and what is the turn arround time?

Do they keep current passports before issuing UK passport?

Hello,
Please advice what is the best and quick way to apply for UK passport after getting certificate. Is there an urgent service availble? What supporting documents are needed and do we need to post these documents? There is no urgent service for "First Passport" application. Documents are your certificate and any uncancelled foreign passports in your possession - all to be submitted in original, by post.

How much does it cost and what is the turn arround time? Around £80 online - we have passport timelines on the forum - anywhere between two weeks to six weeks these days - times impacted by the covid restrictions. british-citizenship/british-passport-ap ... l#p1996839

Do they keep current passports before issuing UK passport? No, your original documents will be returned.

A certificate of naturalidation is not a travel document.

You need a valid brp to board a plane abotad to return to the UK. A naturalisation certificate won't be accepted.
