*** application process needed to be escalated on compassionate grounds in order to be able to travel to see ailing parent!! Timeline promised was 24-48 hours for a decision however took approx 2.5 weeks and several calls to helpline.. Also had to furnish letter from Doctor to support escalation!!

The BRP has also changed design. It's blue and pink, and doesn't have "EU EU EU" behind it anymore under a black light aha.
Additionally - I kept checking the right to work site. My passport was never registered to there, it only worked after I was able to enter the BRP number. So it would seem SET(O) ancestral can't use that as an early way to find out.

I suspect my passport was required with all the stamps, as I travelled quite a bit (within the permitted days) during the 5 years as I used to work in Rotterdam quite often.

I wrote an email to the UKVI NHS team email (ukvinhsteam@homeoffice.gov.uk) on 12/3/21 and got a response today from them a few minutes after I received my decision email, saying it had been approved this morning. Not sure it made a difference but worth trying for NHS employees still waiting.
