Process after MN1 & urgent passport

Dear Gurus,

I have received MN1 certificate for UK born child yesterday & am wondering:

1. what are my next steps - shall I apply for British passport now?

2. I am also in the process of moving home in next 3 weeks. Can you please guide how can I get passport in less than 2 weeks time? any fast track service available? Any impact due to covid?

3. Would change of address has any impact later? Would I need to update address again on passport later?

4. Or shall I apply once I have moved to new address? Would it cause any issues ? Any address proof required while applying with new address since I may not have it on immediate basis since utility/ council bill may take some time.

Hi CR001,

Just read the guidance for one week fast track - seems it is paper based & not online form. Is there any online + fast track approach?

and how much time it is generally taking to book appointments nowadays? I need guidance on overall lead time - whether end to end process from submitting of application to appointment to delivery can be done within 3 weeks?

If not I will then otherwise apply from new address as you have mentioned that address would not have any bearing.
