Life in uk test for Child below 16 years

Post by sone786 » Sat Aug 28, 2021 3:49 am

Hi There,

While applying for naturalisation for my child below 16 years I got questions for below areas

1) Life in the UK test completed?
2) Knowledge of the English language - B1?
3) English Language test?

Just want to check if above test is required for child below 16 years?

Post by sone786 » Sat Aug 28, 2021 3:52 am

Hi There,
Myself & My wife got UK Citizenship around 2 years back.

Just want to check if I have to apply for ILR for my Child (below 16 yrs) born outside UK? or they can directly apply for UK citizenship ?

How old is the child?

What visa do they hold?

Children born abroad are expected to hold ilr before they can apply for citizenship.

There is no liuk or English test requirement for applications under 18.

Hi There,

While applying for naturalisation for my child below 16 years I got questions for below areas Are you looking at the correct form? It's MN1 Registration rather than AN naturalisation

1) Life in the UK test completed?
2) Knowledge of the English language - B1?
3) English Language test?

Just want to check if above test is required for child below 16 years?
