Marriage certificate

Post by nadyatk » Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:18 am

Hi, I am currently applying for British citizenship, I have been living in the UK for 16 years (I am an EU citizen with settled status) my husband of 13 years is British, so going down that route.
The trouble is - we got married in Bulgaria, where I come from, and the marriage certificate is in Bulgarian - I presume I will need to have it translated, just wonder if an apostil will also be needed?

Apostille not required.

It must be translated by an official translator or the Bulgarian authorities, i.e. you cannot do the translation yourself.
