Skilled Worker - Change of Employer - Update Visa?

Hello All,

I am currently on Tier 2 (General) visa, and my family has dependent visa on my Tier 2.

I am being offered a new role by a new employer, and going through the rules on gov website, I came across section "Update your visa if you change job or employer". Does that mean I only need to update my visa instead of applying for a new one? And would I require a CoS to update?

You have to apply for a new visa with a CoS from the new employer and pay all the fees.
