Urgent Travel during naturalisation in process

Post by Ruhu » Thu Dec 16, 2021 7:09 pm

Hello Members,

Your help and guidance will be highly appreciated. I applied my naturalisation in Aug 21 and given biometric in the mid Aug 21 so expecting result soon. I have 5 months old baby and I have to go to my home country for 4 months for medical treatment.

(1) can I travel during the application in process?
(2) once I receive approval letter, can I be abroad or travel after receiving an email?
(3) if yes, I heard when I receive approval letter, I will have 21 days to book ceremony. What happens if I am abroad?

Once again thank you for having this immigration board and helping 1000s of people.

1. Free to travel

2. Approvals email is just an email. It doesn't make you British or anything.

3. You must book within 21 days of receiving approval and you maut attend the ceremony within 3 months after approval. If you don't attend the ceremony in the required time, the certificate is sent back and you have to apply again from scratch.

Plan accordingly.
